In this short video, Neustadt Prize jury members Alison Anderson, Mukoma wa Ngugi, Amit Majmudar, and Jordan Tannahill talk about why 2016 laureate Dubravka Ugrešić’s writing is important, the prestige of the Neustadt Prize, and their experience during the deliberation process.
The jury (which also included Porochista Khakpour, Valeria Luiselli, Valzhyna Mort, Padma Viswanathan, and Wang Ping) met at the University of Oklahoma campus during the 2015 Neustadt Festival.
