At the recent Times of India LitFest in Mumbai, Neustadt laureate Rohinton Mistry allegedly stole the show during his prize acceptance speech, where he broke out into song. (This makes the second time Mistry has broken out into song while accepting a literary prize—he belted out “Oklahoma” during his speech at the 2014 Neustadt Festival.)
Translator Edith Grossman published a beautiful tribute to the late Gabriel García Márquez, whose books she translated for several years, at the Guardian over the holidays.
